Solana Beach Tree Lighting

Yes, we finally got to see Santa - and it was great (not to mention a mad house - so not too many pictures). We stopped off and had pizza at my mom's house and then met up with Charlie, Yaz and Darrick and walked to Fletcher Cove Park. Solana Beach did a great job - free light up necklaces, cookies and cupcakes for all - lots of kids running around everywhere and even a mariachi band! - Then at 6:30pm the tree was lit and Santa arrived in a Fire Engine! What a night for Lucas - he jumped right on Santa's lap - had a long conversation (which he won't tell us what he said) - gave him a high five and was settling in for a long sit down - too bad there were 500 people in line behind us. (You'll have to wait for the Christmas card to see the picture of both boys with Santa.) After we said goodbye to Charlie we stopped back at Nana's - Lucas broke out the toy catalogs (some of his favorite reading) and Owen snoozed on the couch. The end to a great weekend!

Leo Carrillo Tree Lighting

Yes, another tree lighting. This is where we saw Santa last year and had such a fun time - unfortunately this year they decided to do a Whoville theme and Santa wasn't there - but the Grinch was. We did meet up with Brendan and his parents Kelley and Dean. We didn't stay long, but here are a couple of cute pictures.

Build a Bear with Parkhurst Daycare

Dan and Candy organized a trip for all the kids to go to "Build a Bear" in Fashion Valley. We had a great time. Lucas chose "Silly Billy the Firefighting Bear" and he picked out Kandu (Shamu's sidekick)for Owen.

Legoland Tree Lighting

We hurried over to the Legoland Tree Lighting after work on December 1st. After a long (very long) wait for Santa - we saw the beautiful tree - I think Rich and Lucas had more fun playing with the ornaments hanging from the trees than the lighting :)

Christmas lights had to go up on Friday morning!

On the way home from Thanksgiving at Pamme and Mike's we drove by a huge Christmas light display - as we pointed it out to Lucas - he raised his arms up and shouted "It is Christmas time!" -- So our lights had to go up on Friday - thanks to help from Lucas, Grammie and Grandpa Skip - Rich had them up in a short time. (Mom thinks we need more and Lucas agrees.)

Couldn't resist the Owen picture - he wanted in on the action too!
Graduating to the exersaucer

Owen loves hanging in the exersaucer. Lucas has been great about sharing "his toy"

Thanksgiving 2008

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Pamme and Mike's house. We have so much to be thankful for and are so blessed with our amazing boys and wonderful families.

The rain cleared up and we were able to sit outside before dinner. My mom, Pamme and Lois out did themselves with the food.

Best Friends and Baseball

Charlie came over for a playdate last week - The boys act more like brothers. Later Rich played baseball with them and was hitting home runs over the wall. The boys were so tired after playing outside they were in bed by 6:15pm
