We just returned from a trip to Dillon, Colorado
in the midst of the Rockies (elev 9000 ft) to see
Rich's sister and brother-in-law and his parents,
who had rented a house in the area for the month
of July. This was Lucas' first plane ride and he did
great.

On the way there Jen flew alone with Lucas because Rich
had already traveled to Denver earlier in the week on
business, and Lucas was a trooper for her. He read his
books and entertained the other passengers around him -
they all gave him an A+ as a traveler.

While in Dillon we hiked, biked, played some golf and had
a great relaxing time. Below are some pictures.

Love,
Rich, Jen and Lucas

Dad and Lucas on the Blue River.

Rich and his family on the Raven golf course - thin air = long, long drives.

Ready to hit the trail - ummmm well, sort of
(who gets to carry me?)

The trail is freedom - a place where you can take care of your business
without the restrictions of modern society.
(just ask Loki the dog)

Kickin' up the dirt with Grammy, Jennifer, Kym,
Loki, Dodger and Danny Boy.

Dipping our toes in a cold mountain stream midway through.

Trekking through a a grassy meadow with summer flowers in bloom.
(a little guy can look really small out here)

Hitchin' a ride on the way down...

Now this is the way to wrap up a day on the trail...

A hot tub...

Some sticky smores...

And a long snooze...

The next day Grammy and Grandpa took Lucas to the library...

Hmmm...what next

Reading makes you thirsty...
