Dog Days of Summer Legoland trip

We met up with Cal (who is almost 4) and Sue at Legoland. The park was not crowded and we were able to walk on to most of the rides. Lucas officially became a big boy on this trip and rode his first rollercoaster (2 times). After the first time - I asked him if he liked it and he said "no". I asked if he wanted to ride it again and he said "yes".

The boys had a great day on the rides, running through and climbing on the fort and spending over an hour in the water area running and splashing.

Yes, we went by choice - We went on Saturday. All the boys had a great time. (Check out all the tickets Owen won)

Last TGIF Jazz Concert of the Summer

At the last minute we decided to go to the final concert of the summer. It was a jumping jive group - Lucas spent quite a bit of time dancing with me and some other children. He also spent some time on the playground and was making friends with some older (6 years) girls. When we got back to our spot on the lawn - he told Rich that he "met some girls and got their phone number." We couldn't stop laughing and are not sure where he got the line from. :)

Can't wait for next year's concerts. Be prepared for an invite - as we realized this year - a group is much more fun than one of us running with Lucas and the other sitting alone.

Football Season in almost here

Rich is involved in 2 fantasy football leagues this year. Yes, I will be a football widow for the next 5 months and available (with 2 boys in tow) every Sunday. :)

Lucas

Lucas is such a special boy - he can drive you crazy one moment and then turn around and amaze you the next. He is very active - loves to jump, hop and skip everywhere and needs to be busy all the time. He also will sit and paint or color with me for long stretches of time. -- Here is a quick picture of him in the tub. I bought some colored foam soap for him and he loved it -- we spent a good hour in the bath.

Owen is One Month Old

Owen had his one month appointment today. Dr Neglia said he is doing great!
He is 9lbs 14oz and 23.5 inches long. He has grown 3.5 inches in month. He is off the charts in height (just like his brother).

Owen is so different from his brother, but in so many ways the same. He loves to snuggle, just like his brother - but he also will sleep on his own (unlike his brother). Owen is sleeping good 6-hour stretches at night and when he does wake up - he is fast to drink a bottle and go back to sleep. He is very strong - picking up his head and turning from side to side, and scoots himself across his blanket like a little frog.

Dream Dinners

Pamme treated me to a dozen Dream Dinners -- here is the group who helped assemble them. Rich is happy to have different home cooked meals each day!

Lineman Rodeo

Pamme and Mike invited Lucas and Rich to the SDG&E Lineman Rodeo. This is an event where lineman and other groups are tested and judged on their abilities. They set up a kids section too. Lucas was able to ride a bucket truck way up high. As well as jump in the bouncy and slide down a huge slide (Rich said it was 3 stories tall). He also experienced his first snow cone.
