St. Patty's Day 2009
Lucas loved St Pats day. When we got home from work Lucas discovered that the Leprechauns had left him a series of clues to where their gold was hidden.

He followed each one and ultimately found his treasure...take a look.

Thanks to Theresa McGee for the GREAT idea!

And check out the video at the bottom of Lucas finding his treasure

St Patty's Day (a little early)

We had our annual St Patty's Day corn beef and cabbage at my mom's house last night. Lucas and Owen played while we enjoyed a yummy meal. THe highlight of the evening was when we were leaving a sheriff had stopped someone and was writing them a ticket...who wouldn't love that?

Lucas loves going to his Grandparent's houses...when we got home he was 1/2 asleep but he said "Thanks for driving me to Nana's house - I had fun."

Yes, none of us are wearing green - Rich even had orange on...oh well

Owen is 8 months old

Owen cross crawls at great speed to get to Mom, Dad or Lucas - and even faster to get to the cat. He still spends most of his time standing and banging things and now is moving from the table to the couch. Lots of bumps and a couple of bruise from trying daring moves. He has found the cat door and stairs - both are bad news.
Owen loves the fresh air and handing outside with his brother. No new teeth, but lots of teething symptoms. He can't seem to shake his cold/cough - which has made for some very restless nights and mom not getting much sleep. :) Still the cutest baby around (and his brother is the cutest 3 year old around)

I love all of these and couldn't decide which to post...such a cutie!

Fire Station Visit

My boss, Debbie, was able to arrange a private tour at the Elfin Forrest Fire Station for Lucas (Owen, Rich and I all tagged along). Captain Barker spent lots of time with us - showing us their gear, where the firefighters sleep and the vehicles. We all learnt quite a bit about firefighters and how important they are. Lucas was very clingy in the beginning but opened up towards the end. (When he got to go in the abulance and firetrucks.) What is amazing is he remembers everything she said (even when his head was burried in my shoulder) especially - the part about "When you get a little bigger - I'll take you for a ride in the fire truck." -- We are so thankful for Deb arranging this and Captain Barker taking the time...it is a memory that I don't think Lucas will ever forget.

Spring has Sprung and other random photos...

We have been busy at home -- enjoying the great Spring weather - the longer days and working on the house DIY style.

Quick Trip to the Wild Animal Park

Owen's first trip...Lucas loved it all as usual. He kept eyeing the giant hot air balloon - we asked him if he wanted to go up and were surprised when he said "Yes!"
