Halloween and Aunt Kym visits!

The fun started when Aunt Kym arrived to surprise
Grammie Lois for a belated birthday...we were all so
happy to see her.




Lucas put on a show

Included a self-composed song and some great
dance moves

Then it was time to get dressed for the big night
Lucas helped Grandpa Skip - aka "Bad to the Bones"

much as getting it. He wanted to take our

candy with him trick or treating to pass out.

Leaving a house with our neighbors...

After about 30 minutes Lucas felt he had enough

and we headed home...Both boys crashed early

and the adults weren't far behind them

We teamed up on the Pumpkin carving efforts this year.

After dinner we started...

Owen preferred the toys over the pumpkins

After about 10 minutes Rich and Darrick were the only

two left carving...

Lucas and Charlie moved on...

Lucas made Halloween cupcakes for his friends at Daycare. He has so much fun (even though he is frowning in the picture)

Arizona Trip

Thanks to Grammie and Grandpa Skip we were able to spend a week in Scottsdale AZ at their timeshare. It was a wonderful (and much needed) getaway for the family.

*Note: Lots of pictures = very long post...


Our trip started with deciding which of the boys was going to drive...


Lucas was the first one to fall asleep (he had soccer
before we left - so he was tired)

To break up the trip was stopped at Grammie and Grandpa Skips house.

And we are off...Owen was asleep in minutes

Lucas got a new toy and that was all he
could think about...

We arrived at the timeshare around 5pm - 85 degrees
but dropping cooler...This is a pic of the boys

warm water and Lucas could splash all he wanted.

On that first day we played at the play ground,
swam a couple of times and explored and rearranged
condo...

Day 2
We headed out to the AZ Science Center
We thought we'd be there for just a couple of
hours and ended up spending the entire day

They had a section all about building and
what the "bones" of a house looks like...




Then there was a section on The Body

Day 3

Every morning started out with a pillow
fight --

Then off to the McCormick-Stillman Train Park

After lunch we played on one of the 3 playgrounds...
The playground had a shade cover and misters that
went off every couple of minutes

Day 4

Off to Canyon Lake and the Superstition Mountains...

Day 5 - Our last day...

Our trip would not of been complete without a stop to
the Hall of Flames Fighfighting Museum


























Such a great trip...We all had a great time. Sun and fun!
